While the beauty industry may be changing, the ethos of the Placecol brand has not changed.
It has always been associated with caring for, inspiring and uplifting the beauty of its customers within each salon. During this time, Esna Colyn, CEO of Imbalie Beauty, recognised the need to focus on what is really important and what is within the organisation’s control in order to find the best way of empowering salon owners and their therapists to stay connected to their customers, whilst also helping them through a change management process to adapt to a ‘new way of working’ during this challenging lockdown period.
With over 70 Placecol, Dream Nails and Perfect 10 Studios nationally, the Imbalie Beauty group has already completed more than 90 comprehensive virtual training sessions to owners and therapists, covering all aspects of the professional online skin care consultation process, including tools to conduct the consultations, and all to the highest consistent standards of excellence.
“Feedback from therapists who have received the training has been so positive” says Lisa Leibov, Principal Educator of the Imbalie Beauty Training Academy. “It has addressed one of their main concerns which was that of not having contact with their regular customers or being able to give them advice on their skin care routines during lock down, to prevent long term damage to their skin.
In an effort to uplift the beauty of as many South African people as possible during lockdown, the Imbalie Beauty group is introducing the online skin care consultation at a lockdown launch price of just R50, and even this is redeemable against any products purchased to the value of R500 or more. Even after lockdown, however, the group anticipates that online consultations will become a standard offering, as it is also the perfect platform for busy women to have access to a skin care professional at a time that suits them, and to discuss their skin concerns one on one, in the comfort of their own living room.
Celebrating 40 years in beauty and wellness this year, Imbalie Beauty is well positioned to offer this service from anyone of their well-trained skin care professionals all over South Africa.
“Although we cannot physically touch our customers, our goal during this time is to offer an extremely authentic and personal experience to allow our therapists to stay connected to the heart of their customers, understand their current needs and advise them on the best beauty and wellness solutions to address any concerns” says Esna Colyn.
“We are also a proudly South African company and as citizens of this country, we all have a responsibility towards our small businesses and our customers. By helping our franchisees find new ways of operating and giving them the tools to assist their therapists at this time, we are helping them to remain positive. Now, more than ever, is the time to #Supportlocal and unite together to support each and every member of our beauty industry.”
Bookings for the online skincare consultations can be made via their toll-free number on 0861 11 22 22 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Placecol products can be ordered online and delivered via www.placecol.com or Takealot.com during lockdown. In addition, products are available for purchase from selected Edgars outlets and as of the middle of May 2020 from Medirite pharmacies.
Placecol products are not tested on animals and are palm oil and paraben free. The Placecol Promise is to transform skin with visible results in just seven days.
